1. Overview
This policy explains how Session One Funding LLC (“we”), operator of Trading News Alerts at tradingnewsalerts.com, collects, uses, and shares your information. We collect only what we need to run the Service, and we do not sell your personal data.
2. Data we collect
- Account (via Discord): your Discord user ID, username/display name, and email address.
- Delivery: your membership and the private alert channel our bot creates for you inside the official Trading News Alerts Discord server.
- Preferences: the pairs you watch and your alert-impact setting.
- Billing: handled by Stripe — we receive your subscription/customer status and the email used at checkout. We never receive or store your full card number.
- Usage: product analytics events (e.g., page views, checkout steps, alerts sent) and a randomly generated session identifier.
- Communications: records of lifecycle emails we send you, and any support messages.
3. Discord data (OAuth)
When you “Continue with Discord,” you grant only the OAuth scopes identify and email. We use these solely to create your account (identity) and send service email (email). We do not request access to your servers and do not install anything in them. Alerts are delivered to a private channel our bot creates for you inside the official Trading News Alerts server, visible only to you, our bot, and our team. We handle Discord data in accordance with Discord’s Developer Terms of Service and Developer Policy. You can revoke our access at any time in Discord (User Settings → Authorized Apps), and leaving the official server stops delivery.
4. How we use data
- Provide and operate the Service (authenticate you, deliver alerts to your channel, generate your overlay).
- Process subscriptions, trials, and billing through Stripe.
- Send transactional/lifecycle email (welcome, trial-ending, payment issues, purchase confirmations).
- Measure and improve the product via aggregate analytics.
- Maintain security, prevent abuse, and comply with law.
Legal bases (where applicable, e.g. GDPR): performance of our contract with you, our legitimate interests in operating and improving the Service, your consent, and compliance with legal obligations.
5. Who we share with (sub-processors)
We share data only with service providers that help us run the Service:
- Stripe — payment processing & subscriptions.
- Supabase — database hosting for your account/subscription data.
- Vercel — application hosting.
- Resend — transactional email delivery.
- Discord — authentication and alert delivery.
- Economic-data providers — event data we score (we send them no personal data).
We do not sell or rent your personal data, and we do not use it for third-party advertising.
6. Cookies & local storage
We use a single essential, httpOnly session cookie to keep you logged in, and a randomly generated identifier in your browser’s local storage for first-party analytics. We do not use third-party advertising or cross-site tracking cookies.
7. Retention
We keep account and subscription data while your account is active and as needed for legal, tax, and accounting purposes. Analytics and email logs are retained for a limited period for operations and security. When you delete your account, we delete or anonymize your personal data except records we must retain by law.
8. Your rights & deletion
Depending on your location, you may have rights to access, correct, export, or delete your personal data, and to object to or restrict certain processing. To exercise these — or to delete your account and data — email support@tradingnewsalerts.com from your account email, or revoke access in Discord and contact us to purge stored records. We will respond within the time required by applicable law.
9. Security, transfers & children
- We use reasonable technical and organizational measures to protect your data; no method is 100% secure.
- Our providers may process data in the United States and other countries; we rely on appropriate safeguards where required.
- The Service is not directed to anyone under 18, and we do not knowingly collect data from children.
